Modernism began in 1890 and lasted until about
1945. Postmodernism began after World War II, especially after 1968.Modernism
is based on the use of reason and logical thought to acquire knowledge. On the other hand, postmodernism opposes the use of
logical thinking.Thought during the era of postmodernism is based on the basis
of an unscientific and irrational thought processes as a reaction to
modernism.The nature of hierarchical and organized as well as science and
technology marks the determination of modernism. Instead, postmodernism is
based on anarchism, non-totalitarian, and uncertainty.The approach modernism is
objective, theoretical, and analytical; while postmodernism approach is based
on subjectivity.

difference between modernism and postmodernism is that the thought of modernism
revolves around an abstract search for truth in life, while postmodernism
thinkers believe that there is no universal truth.
